Her students have been selected to State Honors Choirs, Governor's School, District Honors Choirs, and both major and minor roles for Musical Theaters.

In 2014 her Fairfax, VA County Public School Choir was selected to perform at the Virginia Music Educators Association State Conference, and then selected to perform on the Millennium Stage at the Kennedy Center in April 2015, in Washington, DC. She gives private piano lessons as well, and also has taught Commercial Acting for the Camera for Talent organizations. She coaches actors/singers in roles for theatrical productions.

Join us on an educational journey. Come and see for yourselves how fresh our milk is by petting our cows and seeing our milking RIGHT HERE on our farm! For our tours we offer an inclusive and interactive look at life on a working farm, with everything from the milking parlor to the calf barn to the manure tanks. We are an all-in-one farming operation and love to share our farm with visitors!

What can you expect on an hour-long guided tour?

Have lunch at our pavilion, let the kids play on our play-set or on the rock pile, pet the animals, walk around, and feel free to ask lots of questions.

Tours are offered from April to October, Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm and by appointment only. At least one week’s notice is required. The cost is $7.50 per person and includes a scoop of ice cream and a goodie bag for the children.

Terms and Conditions: A reservation fee of $75 is required before tour is confirmed. This will be applied to the amount owed. Remainder will be due at the time of tour. A refund will be issued if cancellation is made before 24 hours of tour time. We are a working farm and take time away from the fields to give the tours. The more notice given, the more we appreciate it!

Our history spans only a few years, but has been a fun and active one. Our winery concept came from the musings of a small group of close-knit family members and friends while sitting on Winery President Joe McCall’s front porch in nearby Silver Spring. Our official business license still bears the name Front Porch Micro Winery, LLC.

Our first Tasting Room opened in Olney in September 2012 as The Winery at Olney, but with our wines now in 400 locations around the State and with a new Tasting Room opening in Hagerstown, we recently changed our name to Olney Winery. A family tradition of winemaking began in the 1800’s, and now spans three centuries and five generations. While the “romance of winemaking” sometimes becomes lost in the demands of everyday agricultural and winemaking chores, we have found immense satisfaction in taking a bare piece of land and turning it into a lush vineyard that yields wonderful wines.

We always have several wines available for sampling; your gift certificate covers  the cost of the tasting as well as a souvenir wine glass for each person. We have a diverse selection of wines: dry whites, dry reds, semi-sweet and fruit wines. We also offer small plates of cheese for sale. Our gift shop features works by several local artists and artisans.

The Newseum, headquartered in Washington, D.C., promotes, explains and defends free expression and the five freedoms of the First Amendment: religion, speech, press, assembly and petition.

Since opening in 2008, more than six million have visited its modern building located on historic Pennsylvania Avenue between the United States Capitol and the White House. The Newseum’s seven levels of interactive exhibits include 15 galleries and 15 theaters. Among the most memorable exhibits are the 9/11 Gallery sponsored by Comcast featuring the broadcast antennae from the top of the World Trade Center, the Berlin Wall Gallery whose eight concrete sections are one of the largest pieces of the original wall outside Germany, and the Pulitzer Prize Photographs Gallery which features photographs from every Pulitzer Prize-winning entry dating back to 1942.
